The pickup plates are designed for a specific style of electric guitar pickups. In most cases these pickups are suspended mounted onto an electric guitar pick guard, pickup ring or some other kind of method to allow for vertical adjustment. We have taken that same method of mounting and applied it to the acoustic guitar via the Pickup Cradle. The pickup mounting plates fit the various pickups and are mounted onto the cradle with four machine screws. The same hardware that is supplied with the pickup is used to mount the pickup to the pickup plate for the vertical adjustability. The rest of the assembly is the same as putting a pickup in an electric guitar except it will be soldered to a cable instead of potentiometers.
